With 4.6 million people infected with HIV, India is second only to South Africa for the number of infected people; the number of people hit by the virus is increasing rapidly, and there are ever-growing numbers of AIDS orphans. This country is also a place of exile for Tibetan refugees and His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Soleterre works to help children with HIV and Tibetan refugee children.
