Introduction to the exhibition
by Raffaele Masto
"The faces of children and their mothers in these pictures by Ugo Panella have a value besides the others: they make us understand the sufferings of the other people, reflect on the value we give to our lives, our relations with pain and sufferings, both in Italy and in Ukraine.
Those who didnít feel such pain should turn red for the undeserved fortune they enjoy and donít even recognize it.
These faces make us ask ourselves what it means to have a child ill with such a terrible disease as cancer and not to be able to offer a medicine that can save him."
